We went over the final exam question by question.
This is the last class for Spring semester. Wish everyone have a wonderful summer time!

This is the last class for Spring semester. Wish everyone have a wonderful summer time!
We have our final exam today. Good luck to every student!
We further practice solving logarithm and exponential problems. This is to get students more familiar with using different tools/ways to solve problems.
Based on majority students’ preference, we will have our final exam next week. We will go over the exam on the last lesson, which will be 6/17.
Homework: Page
13.5.1 – 13.5.5
We continue to study logarithms and we practice using the identities we learned last week.
Homework: Page 1
13.4.1 – 13.4.8
We study the identities of Logarithms. The set of identities will help to simplify many problems. It is important for students to get familiar with them, by practicing them.
Homework: Page 1
13.3.1 – 13.3.7
We focus on speed-time graphs, how to read a speed-time graph, how to calculate the distance, how to draw a distance-time graph from a speed-graph, etc.
There are some homework that is about speed-time graph, please use last class’s homework sheets and do or redo the parts about speed-time graph.
We will have a quick review of statistics and probabilities next time. We will have our final exam on 6/18.
Here are some more homework:

#19, #20, #22, #23, #24, #25.
We study tables, charts, and graph, in particular we study distance-time graphs and speed-time graphs.
In our earlier classes (Math 7), students should have learned the basics of reading, interpreting and graphing of tables, charts, and graphs, as well as working with distance-time graphs.
So we focus on study speed-time graphs which can contain more information about the motion of an object than that of a distance-time graph.
With a speed-time graph, we can calculate acceleration, as well as calculating distance traveled, which is the area under the speed time graph.

From the workbook, Page 50: #5- #13, #15 – #18.
We have our midterm exam today. I will email student test papers in a few days to parents.
We have a review class today, in preparation for next week’s midterm exam.
Students should review their homework.
