We study summation and product notation and how to use them to help us dealing with sequences and series’es. We also learn how to evaluate such summation and product notations, especially with nested ones.
This is the last lesson for this semester. We will continue in the Fall to finish this book. Have a wonderful summer.
We study geometric sequence and geometric series. A geometric sequence is one in which the ratio of every two consecutive terms is the same. Common example like: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, …
We will finish this chapter next Sunday, which will be the last lesson for this semester.
We review statistics and probability.
We will have our final exam next Sunday.
No specific homework this week, but the student should review what we have learned this semester by going over your homework and class notes.
Here are the answers to several previous homework for Lesson 12, 13, and 14
Answers to last week’s homework: answers1, answers2, answers3
Since not enough time was spent last time on speed-time graphs, we focus on that part today to make sure students get a good understanding of how to read a speed-time graph, how to calculate the distance, how to draw a distance-time graph from a speed-graph, etc.
There are some homework that is about speed-time graph, please use last class’s homework sheets and do or redo the parts about speed-time graph.
We will have a quick review of statistics and probabilities next time. We will have our final exam on 6/18.
Here are some more homework:

We start a new chapter today on sequences and series. A sequence is an ordered list of numbers, and a series is the sum of certain number of terms from a sequence.
We talk about arithmetic sequence and arithmetic series today.
