We have final exam for Fall semester. I will send out the graded paper this week.
We will start Spring semester next Sunday.
We covered more topics on sequence and series, with focus on telescoping technique.
This also wraps our one-year teaching.
We finish Chapter 16 by studying floor function applications.
By finishing Chapter 16, we have completed our regular schedule for this year. Since we have some extra time, I will go into Chapter 17.
We also start Chapter 17 on more sequences and series and study recursive sequences.
This is a review lesson. We will have our final exam next Sunday.
Students should review what we have learned this semesters by going over their homework.
We study graphs for absolutes and floor and ceiling functions.
We review the properties of circles.
In the symmetry properties category, we have the following:
In the category of angle properties, we have:

We study piecewise defined functions and absolute functions.
This is the last lesson in 2017 and we won’t meet until 1/7/2018. Have a wonderful holiday season!
We study even and odd functions, as well as monotonic functions. We finish Chapter 15.
We review Set Language and Matrices.
A set is a well-defined collection of distinct objects. We talk about how to describe a set, the concept of an element, a subset, when two sets are equal. We also talk about the universal set, the empty set, the complement set for a set, the set union and intersection operations.
We talk about the Venn diagram to represent sets.
We also go over some more practice with matrices.
