Dear Students,

Nice meeting you all! Today we did the Test Innovators SAT Sample Test (math session), and went through the features of digital SAT. Ms. Li explained Math M1 Ex. 8, 9, 10 and M2H: Ex. 1. Please check the class notes for your review. 

For those who started late either because of the wifi or the account issues, please finish the left-over questions in your sample test to get a grade:)

Students also did a great job creating a name tent, and doing a self-introduction to the class!

Next week, we will review the linear equation in one variable. Please finish HW1: linear one-variable equation before 9/14, Saturday at 11:59 pm.

Welcome to the SAT math review course at NCLS. Our first class will be from 3:30-4:50, in Rm 220, at F.A.Day school. 

Please save the following documents for your review:

For those who have filled out the Information Form, I have registered both students’ and parents’ accounts for you. Please use the following information to log in:

• Website: https://testinnovators.com/sat/
• Username: your email address
• Password: SAT-2024 (you can change the password after your first log-in)

Please arrive at school a little bit earlier on Day 1. Here are the directions and parking information for your convenience.

Students, please bring the following items with you to class:

• Chromebook or laptop (fully charged)
• Pencil + Eraser
• Calculator
• A notebook
• A folder (not a binder）

We will introduce the digital SAT and take a sample test tomorrow.  Students are required to join Google Classroom (where you will receive weekly assignments and grades), and parents/students are welcome to join the WeChat Group (rename yourself so that I can match each person).

If you would like to invite another family member to be in this Google Group (email list), please let me know. 

Expectations: 

• Be on time (both for attendance and homework) 按时到校，按时完成每周作业
• Please inform Ms. Li in advance if you need to skip a class. 如果学生某天需要请假，请务必提前与老师打招呼，微信和邮件都可。

Dear Students,

Today we went over the final exam, did Test Innovator Digital SAT Math Sample Questions #1-10, and played a Kahoot game:) Here is the link to class notes.

Students received a certificate and end-of-year gifts, and we took individual photos and group photos:)

Dear Students,

Today we took the Spring 2024 Final Exam. Students who submitted their work online received their grades in Google Classroom. 

Students who need extra time please make sure to finish it as soon as possible (no later than next Sunday noon). We will go over the questions in class and do a final celebration next week. 

Students also receive a card for Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all of our dedicated and supportive fathers:)

Today we discussed Ex 7 and 8 in ET27-28 and reviewed important formulas in surface areas and volumes. Students also finished ET29: volumes in class. Please check the online notes for your review.

Dear students,

Today we learned Ch.27 and 28 Statistics. Please check the online notes and finish homework:

We will finish Ch.29 Volumes next week, and take the final exam on June 16th. The last class this school year will be on June 23rd, in which we will go over the final exam and students will receive certificates & surprise gifts:)

Dear Students,

Thank you for your flexibility. We had our first (hopefully the last) online class this school year:) 

During the Zoom meeting, we first reviewed HW24 and then did some practice on Reading Data. Students also finished an online exit ticket in class and discussed each problem together.

Dear Students,

We reviewed Q2,4, 5-10 in ET23, as well as homework Q6, 8, 9, 12, 13 in class today. We also learned Ch.23 Trigonometry. Please be familiar with the SOH CAH TOA, and complementary identity, reference angle, etc.

Do not forget to check our notes for your review, and finish your homework before next Sunday.
