It’s great to see you after the long break, and we were so glad to have 3 guest teachers visiting our class today. We went over Problems #13, 14, and 16 of Ch.11 HW on the whiteboard, and all students, as well as our teachers explained Ch.12 Examples # 1-10, and Ch. 13 Examples #1-6. Please check the class notes here.
Strategies for solving the word problems:
- Find out the keywords (underline)
- Pay attention to the numbers (and their relationships)
- Pay attention to the units
- Think about when to use the floor function (rounding down) / ceiling function (rounding up)
- Be clear about which formula to use
