My class is dedicated to helping students tackle the most challenging mathematics materials and to ignite students’ interest and confidence in mathematics through solving contest problems. The main focus will build students’ problem-solving/technique skill-set; promote logical thinking and sharpen students’ analytical abilities through multiple-choice questions/competition problems under a restricted time frame. Many integral problem-solving strategies/techniques will be taught during class including pattern recognition, drawing of diagrams, making organized lists and so on. Questions will cover basic topics, exponents, fractions, reciprocals, decimals, rates, ratios, percents, angle measurement, perimeter, area, circumference, basic roots, patterns, sequences, integers, triangles and right triangles, among many other topics.
