NCLS Weekly Newsletter 7-Nov-2013

Dear parents,

We will have class this coming Sunday.  This week’s newsletter covers the following topics:

Open Communication:

To promote an open communication environment and to help our school grow stronger, NCLS Board created a mailbox: for all parents and teachers.  Please feel free to drop your thoughts and suggestions for our school to this mailbox.  We are certain that your comments, advice and suggestions would greatly help our school’s development.  NCLS’s thriving depends on our community’s involvement.

Talent Show

Last week, we had a successful talent show which raised funds for our Support China Education Program.  We had 46 performers for the show.  For these performers, we have certificate for them, please come to the library to pick up this Sunday.  We also want to thank 14 student volunteers.  They are:  Ryan Lin,  Michael Xiao,  Isabelle Xu, Isabella Sumner,  Justin Yan,  Sophia Zhang,  Emily Zhang,  Vivian Tian,  Sarah Lu, Wendy Li,  Nancy Li,  Chris En,  Savannah En and YuKun Liu.  We really appreciate their effort and hard work.  In the meantime, we want to thank all teachers and parents who lent support and help to make this event so wonderful.

Writing Contest:

Our recently completed writing contest has received over 30 essays from our students.   All writing work will also be sent to the 美东少年儿童写作大赛。As always, our school encourage students to participate such event to promote their interests in learning Chinese.  Over the years, we were glad to see that our students’ efforts received excellent rewards.  We are deeply grateful for the teachers and parents who gave our children strong support in their learning.
