Dear parents,
First thank you for making the effort coming to school last week during the snow day. We were very moved by the your dedication and commitment to NCLS. We want to let you know again that our number one prioity is to make sure a safe and healthy environment for our families. Our school opening decision in snow days is based on our full investigation of the parking and road plowing condition around the school. This includes communication with Newton operation manager, sending staff to check the school, etc. We will continue to use this practice for our future snow day decisions.
We have no school for the next two weeks. The class will resume on 1/5/2014. Our spring semester will begin on 1/26/2014. The spring semester registration has already started. We noticed a lot of parents did not realize that they have to register the classes even if their kids stay in the same classes.
Therefore, we post our registration procedure here:
1. “Same Class” Period: 00:00 AM, December 15th, 2013 – 11:59 PM, January 4th, 2014, Registration only opens to current class students. You have to register the classes by yourself.
During this period, only the currently enrolled students can register, and can only register the same classes they are taking this semester.
School will guarantee your seat in the same classes for you during this period; but you will have to register the classes by yourself. If you don’t register by the end of this period, then the seat reserved for you will be open to other students in the next period.
2. “Current Student” Period: 00:00 AM of January 5th, 2014 ― 11:59 PM of January 11th, 2014. Registration only opens to current in-school students.
All classes will be open to the currently enrolled students for registration and no seat will be held in any class. All new classes will also open for registration on “first come first serve” bases. All students can change their classes as long as the class you want to change to has vacancies.
3. “Open Registration” Period: Start 00:00AM of January 12th, 2014, registration opens to all students including new students.
During this period, the registration will open to anyone if there are vacancies in the classes.
Tuition and registration fee for the 2013-2014 School Year
Tuition per semester: first class only: $165; second class only: $145; both classes: $275. This price applies to both children and adult classes.
Tuition for the senior classes per semester: $50. The cost for textbooks is NOT included in the tuition.
Registration fee is $10 per family account, but it will be waived if all account balance is paid on or before January 19th, 2014.

Please follow the system prompt after you finish the class election and ready to pay. Please note: the deadline for waiving the $10 registration fee is January 19th, 2014.

Book Order The textbook for Chinese classes will not be covered in the tuition. For most classes, students will continue use the same textbook that are used in Fall 2013 semester, so you don’t need to buy new textbook. If you are a new student, please come to our admin desk to buy textbooks on 1/19 or 1/26.
