We have the following notes for you this week –
2013年牛顿中文学校数学竞赛将于4/28举行
我校数学竞赛定于四月二十八日3:40pm到5:00pm在学校举行。学校希望通过这次比赛掀起中文学校的数学热，让更多的学生在各种数学竞赛上拿到好成绩。这次比赛，所有我校数学课的学生将自动参加，在学生所在的数学课上进行考试。任课老师阅卷后，将根据比赛成绩和依照学生在英文学校的年级，排列名次。每个年级组的前三名将给予奖励。我们也欢迎并鼓励非数学课的其他在校学生参加这次竞赛，成绩和数学课学生一起记分。
为了使比赛更加规范化，没有注册数学课但是想参加数学竞赛的学生，必须在04/27/13前报名比赛。学校将根据报名情况给学生分配教室和监考老师。报名采取网上注册的方式：

请注意，现已在数学班就读的学生不必再注册考试。
2013年牛顿中文学校演讲比赛全部获奖名单
2013年牛顿中文学校演讲比赛已经顺利结束。这次比赛取得了圆满的成功。在此我们对各位家长和老师给予的热情帮助及对所有学生的积极参赛表示衷心的感谢。参赛学生们在演讲台上不仅表现出了他们对中文的热爱，也表现出了他们的自信和坚持不懈的努力。因此，对所有参赛学生来讲，他们是不是拿到奖项并不重要，重要的是他们积极的参与和难得的经历，他们个个都是赢家！
低年级组获奖名单（以得分及姓氏排名）：

The NCLS NewtonSERVES project on 4/28
NCLS is participating the 2013 NewtonSERVES event, and will work on some in-school tasks for Day School on Apr. 28 in the afternoon. We are calling for volunteers to work with us. Student participants will receive Community Service Hours for this job. If your kids are interested, please sign up by sending an email to 许华老师 at juliahx@gmail.com.
The Support China Education 2013 team is going to China for a week
Thanks to the support and help from the NCLS families and friends, the Support China Education project has been conducted very well this year. The team of twevle students led Nan Liang and Jieying Yao is going to China tomorrow, for the mission of helping the students in Cuozhen High School in Anhui. Let’s wish them a safe and success trip!
