Welcome to the Spring semester! Sunday 1/27 is the first school day of the Spring 2013 term. Please verify your registration, and make the tuition payment by this Sunday to avoid a payment late fee.
Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration, tickets are on sale in the school library
NCLS traditional CNY celebration performance is on Feb. 16, 2013 in Regis College. The event committee is presenting a fabulous program this year. Tickets are available for purchase on Sunday in the library. The price is $5 per person.
NCLS Chinese speech contest
为加强我校学生的中文口语能力和丰富中文教学活动，并且为参与波士顿地区和美东中文学校协会举办的演讲比赛，学校决定在三月十七日和三月二十四日举行一年级至十年级的在校学生演讲比赛。比赛将分为三组（包括马立平班）：1-3年级为低年级组，4—6年级为中年级组，7—10年级为高年级组。为了办好这次活动，各年级组长和老师将安排各班在三月三日之前进行班级内选拔赛，并将班级选出的优胜者报到学校，截止日期为三月十日。每班可选出一到两名优胜者。比赛的原则是：时间两分三十秒至三分钟，题目自定。要求吐字清晰，表情真挚，具有知识性和趣味性，并能背诵下来。

Yard Sale for the Support China Education Program
All your support and contribution will be highly appreciated!
How:
•Donate all kinds of gently used, still valuable artistic toys, decorations, paintings, crafts, paper cuts, sculptures, sweaters, wallets, scarf, pottery, electronics, clothes, shoes, children’s books, CDs, sportswear, kitchenware…;
• Come to the fair and buy what you like at a very reasonable price;
• Business owners can register booths to conduct businesses at the yard sale (one day only). One registration per company / family;
• Items for donation should be brought to school cafeteria on the day before 1:30pm;
• Parents on duty or volunteers will help with donation sale;
• Unsold items will go to Charities such as Churches;
• Raised funds will go to the Support Education Project;
Who: All NCLS members (teachers, teaching assistants, staff, parents, grandparents, students…)
Where: F.A Day Middle School Cafeteria, NCLS
When: March 10th 2013, Sunday, 1:30-5:00pm
