Thanks a lot for all your hard work, we passed the 1st school day smoothly and successfully! Great Job! We wish this be a good start for 2015 – 2016 school year.
Attention: The registration is on and extended to 10/12/2015.
1. Teacher contract: If you haven’t sign 2015-2016 teacher contract, please come to library this coming Sunday and pick up a copy, sign your signature and return to school Dean, Xiaoyan by the end of 9/27. If we haven’t receive your signed contract by that date, you will take your own responsibility for stipend delay.
( 教师聘书:请还未签2015-2016学年教师聘书的各位老师,请在九月二十七日前到图书馆领取 教师聘书,签完字后交给教务主任林晓燕老师。如不能及时交聘书,将会影响九月份的酬金发放)。
1. Student List: Please check your class student list in the system again before this Sunday’s class. On the first school day, we had quite a few parents coming in to register or change the classes. Please make sure the updated list in the system matches your class student names. If you notice any student sitting in your class who is not on the list, please ask for the student’s name, parent name and phone number, after class, give these information to Principals.

2. School and Classroom Management: The establishment of long term friendly partnership with Day middle school is very critical for NCLS healthy development. The good school and classroom management become very important task for all admin staff and teachers in 2015 – 2016 school year. Without your effort, we can’t achieve this goal.
Please repeat the school and classroom rule to your students at the beginning of class. Let all students be aware of how important it is. The newly drafted Newton Chinese Language School Conduct and Discipline Form will be distributed to each class, all teachers need to take a couple of mins go through the form with your class, and ask students take home to get the parent signature, bring back to school the following week

3. Classroom Arriving: Please make sure to arrive the classroom 10-15 mins early to make sure everything ok. If for any reason you cannot arrive on time, please have your TA to cover the classroom. No students are allowed to stay in classroom without teacher/TA in classroom.
4. Parking Tag: Please put your parking tag in front of car Window and on duty parent will see easily.
5. First aid: The school just bought new first aid package, if you have student who needs it, please come to library ask for Peng Lao shi
6. NCLS Support Education Program Announcement
As we start the new school year of 2015 – 2016, the NCLS Support China Education Program has kicked-off its planning phase. This marks the 10th year of the Program. We will be providing support to students at Chongren Yi Zhong, Jiangxi province (江西省抚州地区崇仁县一中). More information about this school and the students will be made available on the NCLS web site. To keep this year’s program successful, we are recruiting new working group members. The number of working group members is not limited. Any parent, teacher or staff who is interested in supporting and contributing is welcome to join. The working group members are all volunteers, but we would like you to take a look at your schedule before you apply, as we do need certain amount of commitment to the program as a team member. We will run fund-raising activities, have meetings and organize the students’ trip to China. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to supporteducation@newtonchineseschool.org before Friday October 2nd, 2015. We are also forming a student volunteer group again this year. Every NCLS student above 8
thgrade is eligible even if you are not planning to go on the trip to China in April and your volunteer hours will be recognized.
For those students who would like to apply as a member to go to China in April 2016, volunteer work prior to the trip is required. We especially welcome our program alumni to volunteer again this year as a way to give back to the program. If you are interested, please register online by click the link

Support Education Program Working Group will host a presentation by 2015 China trip team on September 27 2015 at 3:45pm in room 325, please come and join us to share all the interesting and meaningful stories from our students. This presentation will help you to understand and know more about this program and we will answer whatever questions about the program you have. There will be a registration onsite, you all are welcome.

7. 黄河大河唱:为了支持纪念抗日战争70周年在波士顿所举行的千人大合唱活动,经学校董事会讨论通过,如有老师想购票观看黄河大合唱,学校将会给与$10补贴。希望有兴趣购票的老师 到田毅老师处报名和咨询。
2015年十月十一日波士顿千人黄河大合唱
今年是中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利70周年。为纪念这一重大历史性的胜利,纪念正义战胜邪恶,光明驱散黑暗,全世界各地的华人同胞和团体纷纷举行各种庆祝活动和音乐会,中国政府更于9月3日在北京举行了声势浩大,世人瞩目的阅兵仪式,昭示自由正义于天下,捍卫来之不易的和平与发展。
我们波士顿的华人当然不会落后。乔万钧领导的北美合唱协会隆重推出北美史无前例的千人黄河大合唱(10月11日晚7:30,波士顿大学体育馆Boston University Agganis Arena)!1000余演员来自美国和加拿大的20个华人合唱团和其它艺术团体及个人,届时有200人交响乐团伴奏,6000名观众到场观看助威!我们要用歌声缅怀先烈,弘扬正义,讴歌世界和平!
以团长刘希纯为首的波士顿东方之声合唱团(即牛顿中文学校合唱团)和吴晔率领的牛顿中文学校成人交谊舞班全力加盟此次千人黄河合唱盛会,倾情贡献我们的一份力量和热情!
