Letter to NCLS teachers on 14-Sep-2012

Dear teachers:

        It was a nice start last week. Thank you for your hard work that has made the busy first-day a delightful experience for students and the entire school. Let’s keep up our good work, our fellow teachers and staff, the school and the community are counting on us all.

        1. Please be aware of the following  six classroom-changes due to increased enrollment; related teachers, please let your class know about the change of your classroom

Three changes in the first class period (2:00pm – 3:30pm):

Room 217 to Room 220  八年级马立平教材 Language, 8th Grade – Ma Liping (盛兰兰老师)

Room 207 to Room 217 二年级 丙班 Language, 2nd Grade – C (李厘君老师)

Room 104 to Room 207 一年级 丙班 Language, 1st Grade – C (吴富民老师)

 Three changes in the second class period (3:40pm – 5:00pm):

Room 313 to Room 330 数学10甲 Math -X(A)(Math PSAT) (员玉娟老师)

Room 225 to Room 313 Math Competition Class (张健老师)

2. Reminder to teachers for making the tuition payment

Please make sure to make check payment for your families’ tuition. The previous TD deduction process has been terminated by the end of the 2012 Spring semester.

3. Training opportunity

The NECLTA (New England Chinese Language Teachers Association) will hold its inaugural conference at Tufts University on Saturday October 6th this year. Both registration and lunch are free. Please refer to the conference information at the end of this post.

The Inaugural Conference of NECLTA
International Conference on Learning and Teaching Chinese Language and Culture in a Multicultural Environment in Celebration of the Founding of the Association

Saturday, October 6, 2012 9:00AM – 8:00PM

The NECLTA (New England Chinese Language Teachers’ Association) is very pleased to announce this Call for Registration for its first conference to celebrate its establishment.  We have received a large number of high quality proposals for the conference presentations. It will be a great academic and professional gathering for the Chinese language teachers of all levels in the New England area and other regions in the US and in the world to exchange ideas, sharing experiences and partaking of the results of research.  Anyone who is interested to attend is welcome to register online and participate.  Here is the information about the conference:

  1. The conference is free and online pre-registration is required to help us better prepare. The online conference registration site is:

 Change of venue.

Due to unforeseen reasons, the conference site is changed from University of Massachusetts Boston, as originally announced, to Tufts University.  Here is the address of the conference site and relevant information:

 The conference date is October 6, 2012, Saturday. The onsite registration begins at 8:15 AM and the opening session commences at 9:00 AM.  Lunch is provided free of charge only for those who have done the pre-registration.
