We went over #14 of Ch.11 HW on the whiteboard, and all students explained Ch.12 Examples # 1-10, and Ch. 13 Examples #1-6. Please check the class notes here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategies for solving the word problems:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Find out the keywords (underline or highlight)<\/li>
  2. Pay attention to the numbers (and their relationships)<\/li>
  3. Pay attention to the units<\/li>
  4. Think about when to use the floor function (rounding down) \/ ceiling function (rounding up)<\/li>
  5. Be clear about which formula to use<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
