Chapter 3 Exponential vs. Linear Growth, #3 (pg. 26)<\/b>: The answer explanation on page 260 has a typo. The rate should be\u00a01 – 0.06 = 0.94<\/span>1<\/span>\u2212<\/span>0<\/span>.<\/span>0<\/span>6<\/span>=<\/span>0<\/span>.<\/span>9<\/span>4<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Chapter 7 Constructing Models, #1 (pg. 47)<\/b>: The question should read\u00a0“… and then lays\u00a0\\dfrac{x}{2}<\/span>2<\/span><\/span><\/span>x<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u200b<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0bricks\u00a0per hour<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a02y<\/span>2<\/span>y<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0more hours.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Chapter 21 Triangles, #14 (pg. 184)<\/b>: The diagram is drawn incorrectly, though it’s hard to tell. The diagram should be drawn so that triangle\u00a0ABC<\/span>A<\/span>B<\/span>C<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0is similar to triangle\u00a0DEF<\/span>D<\/span>E<\/span>F<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(and the sides should correspond).<\/p>\n

Chapter 23 Trigonometry, #12 (pg. 207)<\/b>: The answer explanation on page 310 has a typo. In quadrant III, sine and cosine are both\u00a0negatives<\/b>\u00a0(not positive).<\/p>\n

Chapter 25 Probability, #10 (pg. 223)<\/b>: The first sentence of the question should read\u00a0“A manufacturer uses two assembly lines to produce\u00a0refrigerators<\/b>.”<\/i><\/p>\n
