Dear Teachers:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 Same as the previous years, the first two weeks have been proven to be the busiest ones for admin, as everyone worked very hard to help parents\u00a0on registration, class adjustment and book distribution. Although there are still quite amount of registration related tasks lingering ahead of us, we are switching our attention to teaching and other important matters. During our summer meetings with the grade leaders, we have communicated our objectives\u00a0of the new school year. These objectives have been summarized in the meeting minutes sent out to teachers yesterday. In our plan, we have placed a great emphasis on the leadership role of each grade leader and will work closely with grade leaders to achieve our goals.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 With the help of grade leaders, the teaching schedules for the language classes have been completed and posted on the teacher blog site. Please refer to the corresponding schedule for your class to plan your teaching, and feel free to post it on your own blog site.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 There are a few things the admin has planned and would like you to be aware of:<\/p>\n

1. Video taping:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We are considering video taping a class from each grade and posting the video on the teacher blog site. This will allow teachers to observe other teachers’ teaching style instead of taking their precious teaching time to attend other’s class.\u00a0We won’t share the video with\u00a0the parents but only limit it to our own staffs. Each video will be posted for one week and will be deleted after that. Each grade leader, please recommend one teacher from your grade to be video taped.<\/p>\n

2. Teacher blog contest:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

To promote the usage of teacher’s blog, we will hold a teacher blog contest this semester. School admin has allocated $500 budget to reward the winners of the contest. The prize for the first place (1) is $150, second place (2) is $100, third place (3) is $50. Each teacher and staff\u00a0will be given a ballot to vote your favorite teacher blog sites in mid November. The results will be announced at this year’s Teacher Appreciation Party. So, please start building your blog site if you haven’t started yet. The guide line for the contest will be sent out next time.<\/p>\n

3. Tuition payment<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We still have several teachers who have\u00a0neither\u00a0paid their family tuition nor choosen the TD from their family account. Please pay attention to the school tuition policy and take the action before the end of this Sunday to avoid late fee charge.<\/p>\n
