Last week’s midterm tests\u00a0went smoothly. Thank you for your effort on planning and managing the exam! Following are a few notes we would like to share with you.<\/p>\n
W-9 Form<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n To \u00a0prepare this year’s I-1099 form, we need a\u00a0completed W-9 form\u00a0 from each employee. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of W-9 or dowload it from here<\/a>. After complete the form, Please sumbmit it to Qihong. We need to collect\u00a0all W-9 forms\u00a0to ensure that\u00a0all of our\u00a0teacher and staff can receive their 2011\u00a0I-1099 form on time.<\/p>\n Teacher Attendance:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Recently, we have received complains and inquiries about teachers\u2019 absence and we want to bring\u00a0this to your attention. In any case if you can not come to NCLS, it is school policy that you need to work with school on requesting absence and finding substitute teachers. An undisclosed absence will not only impact payroll accuracy, but also cause confusion to students and parents.\u00a0As we\u00a0 communicated with you\u00a0at the beginning of \u00a0this semester, our dean, Xiaoyan Lin\u00a0will manage teacher attendance and\u00a0arrange substitute teachers. Please notify her through\u00a0the\u00a0email at xyc_lin@yahoo.com<\/a>, or at phone number 781-863-0086 in advance for any absence.<\/p>\n Class Blog Contest:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n As we mentioned in our last week letter, class blog contest starts this week. This Sunday, members of administration and PCC will bring ballot to your class and ask you to select 6 to 10 of your favorite blog sites. Please refer to our early newsletter <\/span><\/a><\/span>regarding\u00a0 the guidelines for selecting your favorite sites. The voting process will be anonymous and you don\u2019t need to put down your name on the ballot. To ensure the fairness of the competition, each teacher, board member and PCC member will receive only one ballot bearing NCLS stamp. The winners will be decided by number of votes they received. If there is a tie, the winners will share the prize. The results will be announced at Teachers Appreciation Party on December 10th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n Thanksgiving Party<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n This Saturday, we will have a school wide Thanksgiving party to celebrate this traditional holiday. The party is free to all current teachers, admin members, board members, adult TAs and their families.
