Only one thing brought us attention, more reports were received regarding the students forgot and left personal stuff here and there, please remind your class this issue. There are a few important things that will be happening in the following weeks:<\/p>\n<p><strong>-Fire Drill<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This coming Sunday 10\/4, we will have annual fire drill. For the\u00a0school which has more than 2000 students, this is a very important safety practice for NCLS students and parents. \u00a0We need to make sure that all safety requirements are met during this practice.<\/p>\n<p>The fire drill will be around 2:30 pm. Therefore, all the teachers, especially for the 2nd class teachers and TAs, please read the School Emergency Procedure\u00a0carefully and find the\u00a0exit that your\u00a0classroom is\u00a0using. \u00a0Here is the link to the evacuation map.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newtonchineseschool.org\/evacation.php\">https:\/\/www.newtonchineseschool.org\/evacation.php<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please organize your class and evacuate immediately once\u00a0the alarm goes off, follow the instruction of PCC and admin staff. \u00a0The Emergency Procedure link shows\u00a0the gathering places for different exits.\u00a0 Please stay there and wait for returning instruction.<\/p>\n<p>During the fire drill, please stay with your class all the time, count the numbers of your class before and after the fire drill.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The registration is on and will be extended to 10\/12\/2015, please count the class list due to student switch class or new registered student.<\/p>\n<p><strong>-Class description update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the current course list in school website, there is very limited information posted there. It is very hard for parents to make decision, which\u00a0course should be selected for their children.\u00a0In order to make the school website more informative, We request all teachers write a\u00a0brief introduction of your course, this introduction will include the following main points: what kind of textbook is used of your class, what is the general teaching outline, what level (or age) of students will be good to register your class, what is the teaching goal at\u00a0the end of school year, etc. We expect the class description short but informative. After you finish your class description, please send it to school web specialist Sara Liu: sarahliu08@gmail.com. Thanks a lot for your support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211;<\/strong><b><u>NCLS Support Education Program\u00a0Announcement<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>As we start the new school year of 2015 &#8211; 2016, the NCLS Support China Education Program has kicked-off its planning phase. This marks the 10th year of the Program. We will be providing support to students at Chongren Yi Zhong, Jiangxi province (<span lang=\"ZH-CN\">\u6c5f\u897f\u7701\u629a\u5dde\u5730\u533a\u5d07\u4ec1\u53bf\u4e00\u4e2d<\/span>). More information about this school and the students will be made available on the NCLS web site. To keep this year&#8217;s program successful, we are\u00a0recruiting new working group members. The number of working group members is not limited.\u00a0 Any parent, teacher or staff who is interested in supporting and contributing is welcome to join. The working group members are all volunteers, but we would like you to take a look at your schedule before you apply, as we do need certain amount of commitment to the program as a team member. We will run fund-raising activities, have meetings and organize the students\u2019 trip to\u00a0China. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to\u00a0<b>supporteducation@<\/b><a href=\"http:\/\/newtonchineseschool.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>newtonchineseschool.org<\/b><\/a>\u00a0before\u00a0Friday October 2nd, 2015. Every NCLS student above 8<sup>th<\/sup>grade is eligible even if you are not planning to go on the trip to\u00a0China\u00a0in April and your volunteer hours will be recognized.\u00a0<b>For those students who would like to apply as a member to go to China\u00a0in April 2016, volunteer work prior to the trip is required<\/b>. We especially welcome our program alumni to volunteer again this year as a way to give back to the program. This presentation will help you to understand and know more about this program and we will answer whatever questions about the program you have.
