{"id":1992,"date":"2015-04-23T22:17:58","date_gmt":"2015-04-24T02:17:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.newtonchineseschool.org\/teachers\/?p=1992"},"modified":"2015-04-23T22:18:30","modified_gmt":"2015-04-24T02:18:30","slug":"letter-to-ncls-teachers-23-april-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.newtonchineseschool.org\/teachers\/2015\/04\/23\/letter-to-ncls-teachers-23-april-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter to NCLS Teachers 23-April-2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Teachers,<\/p>\n<p>Hope all had a nice spring break week!\u00a0 This coming Sunday 4\/26 is snow make-up day, we will have class.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Teachers Training on 4\/26:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As you all know, we are having in school Chinese teachers training in April and May.\u00a0\u00a0This Sunday&#8217;s training is for \u66a8\u5357\u5927\u5b66\u6559\u6750\u4e2d\u5e74\u7ea7\u7ec4 (\u56db\u5e74\u7ea7\u81f3\u516d\u5e74\u7ea7).\u00a0 The training time is 12:30-1:45pm at room 229.<\/p>\n<p>All teachers at \u66a8\u5357\u5927\u5b66\u6559\u6750\u4e2d\u5e74\u7ea7\u7ec4 are required to participate this training. All other teachers and adult TA are welcome to join if you are interested.\u00a0\u00a0 The training topic is:\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u8bfe\u5802\u53ca\u6559\u5b66\u7ba1\u7406<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>1. \u8c03\u52a8\u6bcf\u4e00\u4e2a\u5b69\u5b50\u53c2\u4e0e\u8bfe\u5802\u6559\u5b66\u6d3b\u52a8\u7684\u79ef\u6781\u6027\u3002\u5728\u6559\u5b66\u8fc7\u7a0b\u4e2d\uff0c\u6839\u636e\u6b64\u5e74\u9f84\u6bb5\u5b69\u5b50\u7684\u7279\u70b9\u5982\u4f55\u53d1\u73b0\u548c\u5408\u7406\u5229\u7528\u9002\u5408\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u8bfe\u5802\u6e38\u620f\u53ca\u6d3b\u52a8\u4f5c\u4e3a\u6765\u8f85\u52a9\u6559\u5b66\u3002<\/p>\n<p>2. \u91c7\u53d6\u4ec0\u4e48\u6837\u7684\u65b9\u5f0f\u65b9\u6cd5\u66f4\u6709\u6548\u5730\u7ba1\u7406\u8bfe\u5802\u7eaa\u5f8b\u4ee5\u4fdd\u969c\u6559\u5b66\u987a\u7545\uff1b\u5bf9\u8bfe\u95f4\u4f11\u606f\u7684\u638c\u63a7\uff0c\u6709\u54ea\u4e9b\u529e\u6cd5\u65e2\u80fd\u4fdd\u8bc1\u5b69\u5b50\u4eec\u5f97\u5230\u4f11\u606f\u3001\u8c03\u6574\u8eab\u4f53\u72b6\u6001\uff0c\u53c8\u4e0d\u81f3\u5931\u63a7\uff0c\u5f71\u54cd\u5176\u5b83\u73ed\u7ea7\u7684\u6559\u5b66\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Hope to see many teachers at the training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Excellent Student TA\u00a0Award Nomination<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time of the year again that we need teachers to nominate their excellent student TAs.\u00a0\u00a0 If you think your student\u00a0TA is working hard and making valuable contribution to your teaching, please fill out the recommendation form (see link below) and submit the form to Tian Yi laoshi.\u00a0 Please\u00a0consider this as a great opportunity to say Thank You to your student TAs and give them big encouragment\u00a0in their future work.<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.newtonchineseschool.org\/principal\/2014-2015StudentTAAward.pdf<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; NewtonServes Day is Coming!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This year, NewtonServes Day is May 3rd 1:00-4:00pm.\u00a0 Same as previous years,\u00a0 NCLS will partner with Day School and participate this meaningful community service event.\u00a0Community members gather together at the school to complete projects for the school.\u00a0 Below are some project ideas:<\/p>\n<p>1. Rake up leaves\/debris outside.<\/p>\n<p>2. Clean up all the trash outside, especially trash that is technically off school grounds and on park grounds.<\/p>\n<p>3. Mulch bushes.<\/p>\n<p>4. Wash inside and outside of 1st floor windows.<\/p>\n<p>5. Clear out the book room.<\/p>\n<p>6. Clean up and prepare the courtyard plants for spring.<\/p>\n<p>7. Post current maps of building (clearly indicating \u201cYou are here\u201d) near stairwells and at major corners of building, on each floor.<\/p>\n<p>8. Hide away construction materials\/junk\/debris under the archways on exterior of building near gym.<\/p>\n<p>9. Dig out and level the long jump pit used for track and field. The wooden board is overgrown and nearly buried.\u00a0 It needs to be dug out and raised and level.\u00a0 The landing area needs to stretch out as a wide rectangle starting from the edge of the board.\u00a0 The sand pit should be leveled.<\/p>\n<p>10. Tighten the hurdles\u2019 bolts.\u00a0 They\u2019re in the stairwell near the boys\u2019 locker room.<\/p>\n<p>11. Sand and paint 4 book cases in room 227.<\/p>\n<p>Please consider participating and showing our NCLS spirit!\u00a0 More hands make ligher work.\u00a0 If you are interested to participate, please email <a href=\"mailto:pcc-chairs@newtonchineseschool.org\"><span style=\"color: #0066cc\">pcc-chairs@newtonchineseschool.org<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 You can join the work at any time and stay as long as you wish.
