{"id":1684,"date":"2014-09-18T15:07:18","date_gmt":"2014-09-18T19:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.newtonchineseschool.org\/teachers\/?p=1684"},"modified":"2014-09-18T15:07:18","modified_gmt":"2014-09-18T19:07:18","slug":"letter-to-ncls-teachers-18-sept-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.newtonchineseschool.org\/teachers\/2014\/09\/18\/letter-to-ncls-teachers-18-sept-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Letter to NCLS Teachers 18-Sept-2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Teachers:<\/p>\n<p>As the\u00a0busy and exciting first two\u00a0weeks has passed, we\u00a0gradually move onto the normal track.\u00a0 Thanks a lot for your hard work and support.\u00a0Our school started\u00a0on a strong and positive tune.\u00a0 Here are some areas that we still need to pay attention to:<\/p>\n<p>1. We have noticed that some teachers did not check the updated student list in the system.\u00a0 As a result, students who\u00a0registered to the class have been sent to the library by mistake.\u00a0 As the registration process winding down, we still have some new students joining in. Please check the system\u00a0periodically\u00a0and\u00a0take the class roster (\u70b9\u540d) each\u00a0Sunday to make sure that students on the list are matching ones sitting in the class.\u00a0 This process will also help you to get familiar with\u00a0each student.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0Parent teacher communication:\u00a0 The school requires all teachers, including non-language teachers, to communicate with your\u00a0class\u00a0parents in the beginning of school year to build\u00a0parent-teacher relationship(Adult Class is optional).\u00a0 We have noticed that most teachers have done\u00a0a great job in communicating with parents.\u00a0 We&#8217;ve also\u00a0heard feedbacks from some parents that they haven&#8217;t received anything from their child&#8217;s class teacher.\u00a0 Please do so as soon as you can if you haven&#8217;t.\u00a0 For all Chinese teachers , if you mainly use emails for parent communication, please cc your email to <a href=\"mailto:deanofncls@gmail.com\">deanofncls@gmail.com<\/a>.\u00a0 You are also\u00a0encouraged to use our teacher&#8217;s blog for communication.<\/p>\n<p>3. Teachers Club:\u00a0 To enrich teachers&#8217; outside classroom activity and bond our teachers community, we have two teachers activity group within the club. One is Mulan Sword\/drum (\u6728\u5170\u5251\/\u8170\u9f13\uff09group and the other is\u00a0fashion show \uff08\u65f6\u88c5\u8868\u6f14\uff09\u00a0group.\u00a0 We encourage our teachers to join the club activities and enjoy the fun. If you are interested, please contact Cai Jie (\u8521\u6d01\u8001\u5e08\uff09<a href=\"mailto:jiecai2004@yahoo.com\">jiecai2004@yahoo.com<\/a> for sword\/drum group and Zhao Yongmei (\u8d75\u548f\u6885\u8001\u5e08\uff09<a href=\"mailto:maryzhao718@gmail.com\">maryzhao718@gmail.com<\/a> for fashion group.\u00a0 These two group have just started their new school year practice. We hope more teachers could join their fun activities.\u00a0 If you have any idea to form new activity group for our teachers, please let us know.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 Our gifts (tissue and markers) and letter to Day school teachers have been distributed to all classrooms, thanks a lot for all of your cooperation and understanding.\u00a0 For the past two weeks, we had a very smooth classroom management.
