We thank you all for your effort to make this school such\u00a0a wonderful\u00a0place to learn and grow.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few reminders and notes we&#8217;d like to share with you:<\/p>\n<p>1. If you will be late or absence\u00a0for the class, please inform Xiaoyan Lin by either email <a href=\"mailto:xyc_lin@yahoo.com\">xyc_lin@yahoo.com<\/a> or call her cell 781.367.8671, or you can email us <a href=\"mailto:principals@newtonchineseschool.org\">principals@newtonchineseschool.org<\/a> or call Ling Zheng&#8217;s cell 781.296.2486.\u00a0 Lately, we found in some cases\u00a0that\u00a0both teacher and TA\u00a0are late for the class, so students were left alone in the classroom for some time.\u00a0 We understand there could be some last minute delay\u00a0due to\u00a0traffic or personal matters.\u00a0 We hope you can inform us timely so we can get your class covered.\u00a0 Again, our goal here is to ensure our classes are in order and well managed.<\/p>\n<p>2. Regarding\u00a0the teaching material and supplies, we would like teachers send us\u00a0a request before buying them.\u00a0\u00a0Approval from the principal\u00a0is required.\u00a0Every year, we have a budget for teachers to buy their teaching related materials.\u00a0 We will support teachers in any way we can to enhance the teaching quality.\u00a0Meanwhile, we&#8217;d like to\u00a0track on what we spend\u00a0so we are\u00a0in line with our school&#8217;s financial policy.<\/p>\n<p>3. Chinese New Year Celebration Program Submission:<\/p>\n<p>As the winter holiday season getting closer, we are planning several big events for our NCLS community.\u00a0 Besides the recently announced Thanksgiving party for NCLS families and the Dec Teachers and Staff party, the other two\u00a0big events are the Chinese New Year celebration\u00a0inside the school\u00a0on 1\/12\/2014 and outside at Newton North High on 1\/18\/14.\u00a0 Every year, we want to plan well ahead to ensure that we have successful celebration events.\u00a0 This year is no exception.\u00a0 We would like teachers and parents to submit programs for these two events now.\u00a0 Please use the following link for submission. Adult Leaders Recruitment Announcement &#8211; Support Education Program<\/p>\n<p>In April vacation, students group of Supporting Education Plan is going to visit Chong-Ren-Yi-Zhong(\u6c5f\u897f\u5d07\u4ec1\u4e00\u4e2d), our partner school of year 2013-2014, in Jiangxi , China . Last year, our dear Yao Jieyin Laoshi and Liang Nan Laoshi led the students\u00a0group and showed great caring and leadership during the trip.\u00a0\u00a0Now the Support Education Plan working committee is looking for two adult leaders for this trip.\u00a0 The requirements for adult leader are posted in school web site, and all teachers and administration staff in NCLS are welcome to apply. The adult leader\u2019s responsibilities include being with the group for the entire trip (4\/21 to 4\/25, 2014) and leading all activities during the stay in Chong-Ren-Yi-Zhong. Experiences of working with teenagers are preferred.\u00a0 If you are interested, please contact Education Support team at: <a href=\"mailto:supporteducation@newtonchineseschool.org\" target=\"_blank\">supporteducation@newtonchineseschool.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>5.
