Meeting Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accomplishments of 2024\u20132025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SEP had a successful year with many highlights. Jing Wan, Feng Hua, and Eric Shi debriefed SEP\u2019s impactful programs, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Tennis Fundraisers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Bake Sales<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Online Tutoring<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Talent Shows<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Fundraising Dance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Support for NCLS book distribution, Thanksgiving Party, and Chinese Gala<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Award Ceremony for SEP\u2019s high school seniors<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 New initiative in 2024 \u2013 iCanfly<\/strong>: Successfully organized four times at NCLS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 New initiative in 2024 \u2013 IT Outreach<\/strong>: Successfully run for several months in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 New initiative in 2025 \u2013 Cards for Seniors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 SEP China Trip<\/strong>: Led by Board Member Helen Cao and Eric Shi, the April 2025 trip to Guilin High School in Guangxi Province was a notable success, providing significant support to students from underprivileged backgrounds. Trips to Shandong Jijing High School in 2026 and a revisit to Wuling High School in Zhejiang are also scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2025\u20132026 New Initiatives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 The Emerging Leader Award<\/strong>: Endorsed by the Mayor of Newton, with outreach made to the Massachusetts state government for endorsement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 SEP Team for the Boston Dragon Boat Festival<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial Review<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peng Feng presented an overview of SEP\u2019s financial status, highlighting the successful management of funds across various programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vision for 2025\u20132026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Continuation of Signature Programs<\/strong>: SEP will continue its established programs and recruit new volunteers for the upcoming school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upcoming Actions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Volunteer Recruitment<\/strong>: Co-led by Hua Fang and Jing Wan, SEP will soon begin recruiting volunteers for the 2025\u20132026 school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Support for NCLS<\/strong>: Assist with new book distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Student and Parent Meetings<\/strong>: Establish key groups and roles for ongoing programs such as bake sales, online tutoring, and talent shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Program Development<\/strong>: Prepare for upcoming events and programs, including the China trip, fundraising events, and community support activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Explore New Opportunities<\/strong>: Maintain contact with schools and organizations to discover and develop new partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
